Chris is one of Australia’s leading economists and advisors on water policy, management, infrastructure, and markets.

As a founder and director, Chris leads many of Aither’s engagements with governments, utilities, investors, and agricultural businesses. His recent work has included:

  • leading a high-profile policy review of water sharing in the Murray Darling Basin
  • providing strategic advice to Victorian water businesses on the future financial challenges facing the sector
  • advising on a $500m agribusiness transaction involving one of the country’s largest water entitlement portfolios.

Drawing on his two decades of experience, Chris helps clients think ahead and act with confidence. He thrives on providing evidence-based and clearly communicated analysis, advice and insights. Chris is friendly and engaging and will always go the extra yard to help his clients.

Chris is passionate about the opportunity for governments and businesses to improve the way they invest, manage and use water resources. He is a regular contributor to public debate on water management in Australia and dedicated to helping improve the common understanding of complex water issues.

Within Aither, Chris has been instrumental in growing the business from the ground up, playing a leading role in the development and maturation of Aither’s team and business functions.
