Karlie brings a strong interest in economic analysis, environmental management, climate resilience and adaptation. She is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and values strong communication and collaboration to meet client needs. Karlie has a willingness to take on challenges and is driven to make a positive impact and environmental change which has inspired her passions. She strives to contribute to a more sustainable environment and future.
Her interests in economics, climate resilience and public policy led her to intern with Aither where she was part of a project team researching the challenges involved in undertaking climate change adaptation planning. Aither looked at existing adaptation guidelines and spoke with experienced practitioners to identify key gaps in the process to develop their own guidance and high-level framework. The guidance will help practitioners mitigate common challenges and implement effective adaptation measures. She contributed to research initiatives and demonstrated her ability to navigate complex issues.
Karlie’s prior experience includes interning at KPMG where she worked in the Governance, Risk, and Controls Advisory team. In this role, she supported businesses to identify and develop strategies to manage strategic and operational priorities, and to build resilience against various risks. Karlie attended The University of Melbourne and received a Bachelor of Commerce, with majors in Economics and Marketing.
