Karlie is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Marketing, at The University of Melbourne. Her interest in economic analysis, public policy and climate resilience led her to intern with Aither where she was part of a project team researching the challenges involved in undertaking climate change adaptation planning. Aither looked at existing adaptation guidelines and spoke with experienced practitioners to identify key gaps in the process to develop their own guidance and high-level framework. The guidance will help practitioners mitigate common challenges and implement effective adaptation measures. She contributed to research initiatives and demonstrated her ability to navigate complex issues.

Karlie’s prior experience also includes interning at KPMG where she worked in the Governance, Risk, and Controls Advisory team. In this role, she supported businesses to identify and develop strategies to manage strategic and operational priorities, and to build resilience against various risks.

Karlie has a willingness to take on challenges and is driven to make a positive impact and environmental change which has inspires her passions. She strives to contribute to a more sustainable environment and future.
